She is mine and I love her. Not jump on Oprah’s couch fake love her;  this is the kind that lasts.

BlogHer Volume 12 was really great.  Social phobia was beaten back, for the most part, and I now have enough Blog friends (not going to start a list and feel crappy when I leave you out) to not feel like the new kid in the lunchroom. I set a few reasonable goals this time, and accomplished them by Thursday, so the rest of the time was gravy.  (Note to self: that’s a gross cliche.)

But a few folks must be mentioned. The Suniverse and I bonded (facilitated by The Empress, our mutual friend), despite the fact that we both have pseudonyms and don’t have our pictures as avatars.  Ann Flournoy of The Louise Log is far more kind and modest than her talent warrants, Momo and Deb made Pathfinder Day inspiring, and JBern was an awesome roommate, despite the fact that she’s too tiny to borrow clothes from.  To everyone else who made the weekend special by smiling at or talking with me, I can’t thank you enough.

And to all the talented, funny, generous writers I met for the first time, I promise to follow up as soon as I can.

You guys were inspiring.

You, as always; make me laugh

I have borrowed from my notebook where I jotted down your quotable quotes: my fave being, “I never thought of myself as optimistic, but.”

You make me laugh, kablooey, and I love seeing you so much.

Chicago? You know it.

And yes, I am in that I Love Suniverse club , too. I adore her.

OH you. (don’t dare to use your actual name and blow your cover–) I’m honored, HONORED (still not strong enough) to be mentioned in your post.

It’s said that if you point a finger at someone, there are three fingers pointing back at the person pointing. Well! The ‘kind’ and ‘modest’ go triple for you. And I’ll throw in there ‘grounded’ and ‘real’ for good measure.

It’s amazing to meet someone through her writing (witty with an inspired comedic sense) and then to connect in 3D and feel instant trust and only BFF-type closeness.

Thanks to The Empress for having (likely) been our matchmaker. Let’s not wait til LTYM to reconnect. XXX

Everyone of us (“Betsy” excepted) met through our Exalted Empress. Never met anyone whom she loved that I didn’t: Shari, Varda, Suniverse, Anne, and the list goes on. And no one has helped push me more in fruitful directions. SO, sweet Alexandra, when are you going to stop that catering business and become a life coach.

So, yeah. I’m a little behind.

Thank you for the kind words. YOU? Are a pleasure to be near and fun to talk to. I felt like I’ve known you my entire life. And, as the wonderful Empress declared…CHICAGO!
