Moochie: Queen of All Media

in Lonzie, Moochie

I felt kind of bad today, having told the truth about Mooch’s lack of karate acumen. To balance things out, I’m going to share some of her recent artistic accomplishments. This will be exactly as obnoxious to those who hate that sort of thing as you’d expect, so if you have no interest in hearing more of my daughter’s song stylings or seeing her artwork, get out now. No hard feelings. (The song does have a haunting refrain, tho. A definite earworm.)

At the Bronx Zoo with Lonzie, her big sister who came in from college, Moochie said “Here’s to us — the Gatorade Sisters.” While she’s clearly spent too much time in bars, she does exhibit an ear for the catchy slogan.

Obviously inspired by Bill Owens’ seminal book, “Suburbia, Mooch’s work is rich in small yet telling details such as that iconic pine tree air-freshener.

My kid has her attributes and things that are not so good. I think it's great to celebrate the good stuff

Thanks, Jessica. A post about this morning when I wanted to lie down in front of the school bus because she had a crying tantrum because I wouldn't let her bring her pillow pet on with her (against rules, and I'm already on notice with bus co.) might be coming tho. Nah, maybe I better shake that one off.
